Whether you know it to be true or not, the Democratic Republic of the Congo-native man Baloji is one of the greatest artists around. Here’s why. With verity, I can only understand a small percentage of his music catalogue, but every time I watch a video or hear a song, I want to engage and be one with his creation. Over the years, the quality of his work (music and cinema) remains incomparable. He doesn’t compromise his vision. Now, the Belgium-based musical genius is back with ‘Spotlight’, a song featuring Marshall Dixon & Poison Mobutu. Hear the danceable World/Afrobeat track below. ‘Spotlight’ comes from Baloji’s previous album ‘137 Avenue Kaniama’.
