Today, British singer-songwriter Bakar released the vibrant, upbeat new single ‘Right Here, For Now’. Through the song meant to be the seventh song on the North Londoner’s forthcoming sophomore album ‘Halo’, he explains that he’s far from perfect (“You know I could reimburse you/
Paid the price for how I hurt you”) but appreciates her and cannot wait to see her again. The record is the follow-up to his previous happy-go-lucky offering ‘Alive!’ To hear the album when it comes out through Black Butter, follow the artist and look for promotion for the live album on September 22 across social platforms.

Toward the end, a young woman delivers:
In the beginning I really thought it was, it was some kind of verb
Longing or loving something
But I realized that it’s maybe loving yourself
That “Halo” is selflove
That, that people are not gonna always be there for you
And you need to love yourself
You know, I mean, selflove
