Marking the blockbuster cinematic music event of 2020, We The Best Music Group and Epic Records unveil the anxiously awaited Bad Boys for Life Original Motion Picture Soundtrack today.
GRAMMY®-nominated multiplatinum artist, Music Executive, innovative influencer, mogul, and mega-producer DJ Khaled serves as Executive Producer. It lands alongside Sony Pictures’ ‘Bad Boys for Life’—the third instalment in the legendary Bad Boys (directed by Adil & Bilall; produced by Will Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad) series starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence—in theatres everywhere now.
Making headlines, artists from the album engaged a full-scale television takeover in celebration of the release. This Tuesday, history-making multiplatinum GRAMMY® Award-winning Hip-Hop institution Black Eyed Peas performed the chart-busting lead-off single ‘RITMO (Bad Boys for Life)’ on Ellen. Just last night, Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee delivered an incendiary performance of ‘Muévelo’ on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!
Maintaining this momentum, Black Eyed Peas premiered the music video for ‘RITMO (Bad Boys for Life) (Remix)’ [featuring Jaden Smith] earlier today. Plus, Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee dropped the vertical video for ‘Muévelo’ on Spotify.
The ‘Muévelo’ music video clocked a staggering 30 million-plus views in a few weeks’ time. Since impacting in November, ‘RITMO (Bad Boys for Life)’ by Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin not only bowed at #1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Chart, but it also generated 400 million YouTube views on the official music video and 300 million-plus streams worldwide.
Making history, executive producer DJ Khaled architected a powerful package for We The Best Music Group’s first-ever soundtrack. He energizes the culture with this diverse and dynamic collection in honour of the film with brand new music from the likes of Meek Mill, City Girls, Rick Ross, Rich the Kid, Jaden Smith, Buju Banton, Pitbull, and more.
It’s been incredibly fun working with our Sony partners, We The Best Music and Epic Records, to assemble an all-star roster of artists for a new chapter in the Bad Boys franchise, said Spring Aspers, President of Sony Pictures’ Music. I’m excited for audiences around the world to see the new iteration and hear its electrifying soundtrack.
