Thurz to Perform at Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in LA With Run the Jewels and Mystery Skulls November 13th at The Echo

Today, November 4, Los Angeles’ emcee Thurz has released the seven-song Designer EP via Red Bull Sound Select. The EP has generated much buzz following the release of three album tracks. “Perfect Words” (featuring Kelsey Bulkin) showcased Thurz’s smooth and laidback style, “21” an upbeat party jam, and “Right Now” featured his passionate and hard-hitting lyrics that gave insight into the emcee’s personal life. The EP, Executive Produced by Marlon Travis Barrow, is dynamic and shows the Los Angeles native’s evolution as a solo artist. Designer EP is available at iTunes.

Thurz also has released the “Love Spawns Creativity” animated video by Andre “Drekkid” Simmons which helps to portray the story of the Designer EP.

Thurz will play The Echo on November 13th alongside Run the Jewels and Mystery Skulls as part of Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Los Angeles. Learn more via this link. Listen to Designer EP via this link.

The Designer EP was recorded at Spaced Out Studio and Red Bull Studios Los Angeles with contributions from Andrew Gouche (bass guitarist for Prince), Aaron Harris, Battle Cat, DJ Khalil, DJ Dahi, Rahki, Kelsey Bulkin, Marlon Travis Barrow, BJ the Chicago Kid, Kent of OverDoz, Clyde Carson, TiRon and Ayomari and more. The EP was Executive Produced by Marlon Travis Barrow.

Thurz made a name for himself as a solo artist with a bang in 2011, releasing the politically explosive L.A. Riot, an album that paid tribute to Rodney King and the subsequent L.A. race riots of 1992. His 2012 mixtape 517 W Queen Tape served as a prequel to his upcoming sophomore release Designer EP.
