Being closer to Mexico because I am currently in Houston, the words to the song are louder than ever before. As a result of what I’ve been through, I now understand more about injustices and being treated inhumanely. In a hopeless-sarcastic way, the Monterrey, Mexico-based artist sings about the things that none of us—on the ground level—can change. All we have is what we were born with: Our souls, Mother Nature, and expiration date. Listen to Alex Jaguar’s sad truths in ‘Rain and Rain and Rain’.
