Editor’s Note: As you enter the website, digital popcorn falls.
When I hear popcorn, I think: Hot, buttery and salty; if it’s not a combination of the three, I will P-A-S-S. I hate Cracker Jack, the weird rainbow one, Hot White Cheddar, and no I don’t want to try your kettle corn. I’m somewhat of a processed food purist. My Editor summoned my spirit and coaxed me in to trying SexyPop with complete confidence. She handed me the two swanky bags, Black Pepper and Brazilian Coconut.
Black pepper on popcorn was such a grand idea, until I had Orville Redenbacher’s gourmet line where they overwhelmed it. Halfway through the bag, I wasn’t even sure if it was real black pepper because of how processed it began to taste. So I took a scary handful and within a few judgmental chews, was a pleasant surprise. SexyPop gave us the right amount of kick. It begins salty and as the pepper coats your tongue, you’re reaching for more salt(y).
Now on to the experimental, Brazilian Coconut, that 1st whiff was warm and inviting. It smelled like a light coconut candle. Best scent ever! The coconut flavor was as light and sweet as a peck. An effective little punch that always has you yearning for just a few more. Before you know it, you’re sucking face with the bag. I had all intentions of sharing but decided I wouldn’t be doing my job if I did. My bad y’all!
SexyPop is the brainchild of Robert Ehlrich, the guru of guilt-free snacks. He is responsible for brands like Pirate Booty and Veggie Booty said in my best *Troy Mcclure* voice. Nutrition and flavor has been his winning combination. Sexypop uses NON-GMO Japanese white butterfly corn and is 35 calories a cup making it my new in-flight meal.
