As one of the two women featured on the cover of XXL’s Freshmen Class, Tink’s lyricism and work ethic is classic. With her debut album THINK TINK due later this year, she is making smart moves as a brand. Tink has teamed up with U.K. DJ/Producer Tazer in the latest video for “Wet Dollars (Remix)”. This track merges Chicago House with U.K. House production. The style in the visuals make bold statements, as essential 90’s pieces hit the camera through movement. Another summertime record to vibe to on the weekend, “Wet Dollars Remix” will be on everyone’s playlist.
In a recent BBC interview she discussed the record:
“When I first heard the beat, I was like, ‘Wait a minute,’…It was nothing like anything I had heard before, especially in the States, so I immediately had to take advantage. I had to spit on it.”
From singles like “Around the Clock”, “Ratchet Commandments”, and Aaliyah-inspired “Million”, this girl is carrying the signature Timbaland legacy in the right direction. With powerful messages to young girls in the music, this is the next Lauryn Hill of our time. I believe this Artist will continue to advance the culture, while adding her own flavor to the scene. Look forward to seeing more from the movement.
