You might recognize his chiseled, ruggedly flawless face from high fashion runways to the notable Dolce & Gabbana ad campaigns for their fragrance “Light blue” in 2007, 2010, and 2013. Originally from Billericay, Essex, England, David Gandy got his start into modeling, almost by accident, when a friend entered him into a modeling contest without his knowledge, and of course, he won. This unexpected victory landed Gandy a contract with Select Model Management in London, and he went from turning heads on the streets of London to ooh la la’s on the catwalk.

His career got off to a running start from modeling his masculine physique for brands such as: Gant, Hugo Boss, Carolina Herrera, and H&M, and his muscular look quickly set the standard for young male models looking to pursue a career on the modeling the scene. Gandy’s build has also inspired fitness-industry interviews, exercise videos and in 2012, he released his own fitness app “David Gandy Fitness and Training” available in the iTunes App store and on Google Play, along with his fashion guide “David Gandy’s Style Guide for Men” available in the iTunes App store.

While he has ongoing projects with Dolce & Gabbana, Gandy’s career doesn’t end there, he has graced the covers of Vogue, and GQ Magazines, has been named the “Most Beautiful International Male Face” by Spanish Glamour Magazine in 2008, and Glamour readers also voted him one of the “100 Sexiest Men of 2012,” to recently transitioning to television in 2014, being cast as Jennifer Lopez’s love interest in her “First Love” music video. Although his looks have garnered international acclaim, and swooning ladies the world over, David Gandy is more than just a pretty face. In between strutting his stuff on the runway, he also finds time to pen a blog for British GQ, and is involved in numerous charitable efforts.
