New York-native Ester Talasazan is a 24-year-old, self-taught tie-dye artist who runs the vibrant clothing line YWS Young, Wild, And Serene. The Los Angeles-based creative is inspired by bright, lively colors, and admits green is her favorite color. Her marketing degree will definitely assist in the expansion of YWS new collection of sneakers, backpacks, and bedding. Ester has a bright future (no pun intended), and her spirit is just as electrifying her line. Check out this fun interview by Danielle Adefeso with the designer.

If you could pick anyone in the world to wear YWS, who would it be?

Rihanna because she’s a free-spirit.

How did the YWS collaboration with ApuleTown form?

Nugget. I was fascinated by the multicolored dog, and I saw that nugget was affiliated with Apuletown through Instagram.

Where was the first collaboration featured?

Pop-up store at Art Basel in Wynwood.

5 words that describe you?

Happy, funny, friendly, creative, and passionate.

What advice would you give the 15-year-old you?

Don’t worry. Things will work out the way they are supposed to.

What’s next for YWS?

A do-it-yourself tie-dye store.
