She also formerly contributed an advice column on body image to The Guardian newspaper.

In February 2009, she was featured in London as the cover model for the premiere of Love magazine with prominent public advertising. On July 9, 2009, Beth's fashion collection for the UK retailer Evans was released for sale, both online, and in selected stores across the UK.

I have a love for photography with Beth Ditto in it — especially the photo work done for <a href="http://thepop.com/" target="_blank">Pop</a> — hence, the photograph taken by Steven Klein and overseen by Katie Grand on the <a href="http://www.grungecake.com/" target="_blank">GrungeCake</a> homepage and all sister sites. In short, size matters&#8230; I wonder if Ditto and Gaga get along.</p>

<p><strong><br />
<h1>Blurb from YAMS:</h1>
<p></strong><br />
When Nico made the connection, it was official. His subjects, composition, props, and tones are attractive. Every time I sit and read his work, I feel like I am in a music video. I hear music when I look and read his work. We are now <em>chummy</em>. Go figure. (Laughs) For Nico&#8217;s great port, <a href="http://www.anothersidewalk.tv/" target="_blank">click here</a>. The background has been devoted to Nico Stinghe. I hope you enjoy his work.</p>
<p><strong><br />
<h1>Another Side Walk&#8217;s Mission Statement:</h1>
<p></strong><br />
A photography and video studio of mental movement, a life documentary and interpretation body. <em>Anothersidewalk</em> is a creative studio.</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/8_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/16_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/17_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: Your photographs embody fun, illusive and dreamy, jovial, flexibility times through a lifestyle subject. Does your personality reflect your masterpieces?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: Photography is very simple, the beautiful part of it is that it let’s you go wherever you want physically and mentally and contact whoever you want, if you are a curious person you should be a photographer. </p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/2_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: It seems you share a love for geometric shapes. Is there any deep reasoning behind the shapes or was it thee ol’ designer’s trial and error?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: Abstract! I never realized this until you told me. I could maybe go back in time and analyze parents, forms, courses, games I would play. One day I was on a sofa and I remembered a game I used to play on the TV and this guy sitting on the other sofa told me, “I would never play it.” How did he knew, it was just a thought. </p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/7_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: Cooley said, “An artist cannot fail; it is a success to be one.” Is this what fuels you to create so beautifully?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: I had problems admitting I was a photographer and still cannot say I am an artist. Now I say I’m a photographer and the artistic side I’m still confused with understanding it. Imagine: I have to think about my profession and describe it. I generally like to let things go, not have control over, and improvise with what is around. </p>
<p>I personally prefer less people near us, more energy, less perfection. It’s important to let people go into their imaginary and forget the most possible. And not explain too much stuff. </p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/13_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: Being an artist, we usually criticize our work 12,000 times over before we release it to our pets. Are you completely satisfied with the campaign you have created with the two fashion industry giants Adidas and Diesel?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: There was quite a team behind this campaign. I like the results very much. </p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/14_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/9_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: The city of Montreal has a photographer to boast about from today into the next 10 decades. You are rather large on the Internet. Are you aware of your e-presence? Do you type your name/s in the search engines sometimes?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: Such an intimate question! And nice compliments! Thank you!</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/3_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: What were your beginnings like?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: A mix of science and spirituality.</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/4_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: Do current photographers in your league inspire you?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: I prefer paintings to photography. And at the end I prefer photography to paintings because it has constraints, the laws of physics. And the psychology of the model and mine. I also prefer portrait photography.</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/5_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: I feel it is odd to ask a photographer which tools they utilize to create, but could you share what brand you prefer to shoot with and if you are content with the state of digital photography?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: I use Canon cameras and now thinking of getting a large format camera and just bought a 35mm Konica. I have no idea what’s on the film inside it yet. I used a webcam once to filma NYC train. Ill show it to you. It&#8217;s nice.</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/6_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: <em>Anothersidewalk</em> is a name that I cannot forget. Have you done this to me on purpose?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: Yes, thank you for the feedback! I won one point.</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/10_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: How did you find <em>GrungeCake</em>? What do you think about our name?</p>
<p><img src="http://grungecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/11_nicostinghe_header.png" alt="Nico Stinghe" title="Nico Stinghe" width="800" class="size-full wp-image-1497" /></p>

<p>Nico Stinghe: I always look for interesting links, what people do. For sure, I found it after I typed my name in Google and we were two clicks away. The name is great! I like the <strong>Grunge</strong> part!</p>
<p><strong>GrungeCake</strong>: What’s next for Nico Stinghe?</p>
<p>Nico Stinghe: A lot of travels. </p>
