Design: Pop Artist and Director 野田 凪 Nagi Noda

Among her works are the short film Mariko Takahashi’s Fitness Video for Being Appraised as an “Ex-fat Girl“, the half-panda-half-something-else Hanpanda life-sized figures, and the video for Japanese singer Yuki’s song “Sentimental Journey“. Other works include direction of a television advertisement for Coca-Cola (with music by Jack White), collaboration with Medicom Toy to produce Nagi Noda Be@rbrick and the video for “Hearts On Fire” by Cut Copy, it was the last music video she made.
Nagi died on September 7, 2008 , at age 35, after surgical complications from injuries sustained in a traffic accident the previous year.

Design: Barcode Artist Scott Blake

Scott Blake was born in Tampa, Florida is the autumn of 1976. Nearing the turn of the millennium, Blake created a series of artworks that involved reworkings of barcodes to create artwork. Barcode art was something that quickly became an internet thread. It was largely unknown exactly where this fad had originated from. His work has been shown at various galleries and featured in magazines such as The New York Times, FHM and Adbusters. His site has also been translated in many languages. For his efforts and vision, he was recognized by the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, held in the Guggenheim Museum NYC. He currently lives in Omaha, Nebraska.

Music: Producer and Recording Artist Thavius Beck

Composer of mercurial soundtracks for uncertain times, Thavius Beck conjoins various strains of electronic music to arrive at a daringly ambitious sound. He has received recognition in The Wire, Spin, and Urb for his solo releases under the moniker Adlib, the Labwaste project with fellow LA artist Subtitle, his recent production for fellow Mush artist K-The-I???, his early work with Global Phlowtations, numerous guest appearances, and producing alongside Trent Reznor for and touring in support of and accompanying Saul Williams. An exceptional programmer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist, Thavius Beck’s many talents allow him to take a song from idea to completion without ever having to leave his cluttered studio. Uncompromising vision and an ear for the unusual are staples of this writer/producer’s work.

Studio OOOMS is run by Guido Ooms and Karin van Lieshout.
Guido Ooms (’74) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2000.
After working as a freelance designer at different companies he started his own studio. Next to running the studio he also teaches design at the School of Arts in Utrecht. Karin van Lieshout (’74) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2001. She has a degree in teaching (BIK, professional artist in class) and worked in various designcollectives before she joined forces with Guido.

Cinema Stereo is Alicia Spargo, a computer, a keyboard and several redbulls. I make music on my computer and then sample video to be projected behind me when I perform live. Design: A Publication Designer in the Making, Curtis Bryant

Curtis Bryant was born February 22, 1989. Born and raised in the Bronx, he’s the youngest of three. At an early age Curtis knew art was his calling in life, and being encouraged to continue it by his grandma was all the support he needed. Taking different classes in all media’s of art from printmaking to photography Curtis’s portfolio grew quickly. He attended and graduated Bronx High School for the Visual Art, and now he is currently a junior at Parsons New School for Design majoring in Communication Design. He plans to work in the field of Publication Design (magazines and books). Curtis recently got into photography again, so the possibilities are unless. Curtis is inspired by so many things and started a blog with some friends this past summer. www.Moose-Hunters.com is the name of it, and it encourages people, no matter what they’re dreams are to, to go for it, despite the negativity of the world.
