Film and Video: Whygee’s EPK

Whygee’s walked the Earth in Colorado from Red Rocks to Boulder. Doctors might be quick to call it ADHD, but he just calls his journey curiosity. He has walked Colorado’s mountains and plains first hand, both in the vast open areas for a zen-like experience, and showing more crowded towns like Vail and Breckenridge how Denver’s Underground Hip-Hop scene is second to none.

These Chicago-born, electro-beat making, clever rhyming, falsetto-singing artists/producers are paving a new lane in music with a roster of production credits under their belts. The twin brothers have, up until now, been a quiet force in platinum-charting Hip-Hop, helping to make hit records for Lil’ Kim, The Clips, Young Gunz, Foxy Brown, KanYe’s artist GLC and Lupe’s electro band Hey Champ. Christian Rich have also co-produced for Ludacris’ artist Willy Northpole for his Def Jam release. They landed their first overseas smash with electro giant Armand Van Helden with the banger “Ski Hard.” The video is currently on MTV UK, VH1, NME, and many other media outlets.

GrungeCake’s Interview with Author Richard K. Lofton by Jazzlyn Kirkland!

Imagine being a 5-year-old child trapped inside of your own body with no way to verbally communicate. At such a young age, verbal communication is key to living because you are at the beginning stages of learning. What would you do? Would you teach yourself to read and write so you could at least communicate with adults? Being in pre-school, would you turn to poetry as an outlet for creativity while the other kids are on the mat playing toy trucks? What about reading books way beyond your grade level or skill to prove to your teachers that you have been wrongfully placed into a special education class because you cannot speak? Well, I know a man — a very wonderful, brilliant, intellectual, intelligent man who has done everything to beat the odds that face him and that man is Author Richard K. Lofton.
